DOS SRBIJA 2024 STATEMENT:
History is written by those who dare!
A road bike journey around the entire country of Serbia!
For the first time in the history of road cycling in Serbia, a group of eight cyclists set out on a journey across the nation.
Starting the first stage in Novi Sad, the cyclists passed through major Serbian cities, including:
Novi Sad / Sombor / Subotica / Kikinda / Zrenjanin / Vršac / Donji Milanovac / Kladovo / Brza Palanka / Zaječar / Vratarnica / Donja Kamenica / Pirot / Dimitrovgrad / Sukovo / Nasuškovića / Babušnica / Vlasitice / Leskovac / Kopaonik / Novi Pazar / Pešter / Zlatar / Zlati / Tara / Drina Valley / Banja Koviljača / Sremska Mitrovica / Fruška Gora / Novi Sad
The cyclists completed a route of 1.700 kilometers with over 14.000 meters of elevation gain in seven consecutive stages.
The longest stage, the first one, was 310 kilometers long.
The highest recorded temperature during the journey was a scorching 45,5°C.
The organizer, the cycling association DOS & Bikepassion.cc, aims to motivate individuals to add a sporty note to their lifestyle and do something for themselves through this ride.
Since this type of ride is far from easy, it’s only fair to present the cyclists who completed this challenge with distinction:
